Nyasha, TV Host/Singer-songwriter who is a native of South Africa, was named “One of the Top Ten Visionaries of 2009” by New York based
African Mag — list included Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry, Dambisa Moyo and President Obama.
She has hosted/appeared on ESPN for the NFL, several events for Fashion TV including Opening in East London, and WEtv as the comic judge with an edge on ‘Little Miss Perfect season 1 and 2. Nyasha emceed at Americas Perfect Model search in Disney, spoke on segments for BBC World, presented at the 15th Annual Time for Peace Film and Music Awards, and President Barack Obama’s Purple Inaugural Ball with Ashley Judd. During her recent reign as Miss Africa USA, she spoke on her experiences working at Ground Zero for the “Voices of September 11” televised event with former President Bill Clinton.
Nyasha credits her driven spirit to working under people like Donald Trump as an assistant director and show writer for the NBC/Miss Universe, Inc. Her broad professional, social and travel experiences influence her knowledge in global pop culture, fashion and music. Her early training in television includes Sherry Faith Actors Studio and Marc Durso who taught her techniques from Tony Award winner Uta Hagan.
When asked why she loves television she answered “these are exciting times for television, technology, and pop culture, I want to be a part of that as I live it everyday.”
